Scrapping for a cause

This past Saturday, April 17, 2010.  The Junior women's league sponsored a scrap for a cause in our town.  I was very excited to attend along with my side kick Daisy.  It was our first experience at a crop.  All in all we had a very good time.  It's surprising how quickly time passes by when your having fun. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as each of us getting a massage.  Daisy also enjoyed a makeup treatment lol.
It was a lot of fun walking around and seeing what others were working on and the different techniques used.  I managed to make two simple layouts and five cards which will be used as mother's day cards. I hope you like them all (if I can upload them properly lol)
these are the five cards.

Simply Gabriella

I usually make layouts using my grandchildren, because they are so cute, but this time, this layout was created with a focal point of a very beautiful little girl.  Gabriella is the newest addition to my husbands cousin Annie's family. Gabreilla was born approximately 4 months ago, and this picture was sent to us as the announcement of her birth and it was to freakin cute. So, since I get inspiration from what I see, this little girl gave me much inspiration.  The layout itself is simple because I didnt want to take away from the beauty of the pic. I love the way the layout came out so I asked for permission to post it here on my blog.  I hope you like it as much as I do.
The cardstock is pink from the AC pastel cardstock. There are two doilies in different sizes from my collection of embellishments probably bought at the dollar store.  The picture is layered over pink cardstock approximately 7 3/4 inches and then layered on top of white cardstock approximatel 8 1/8 inces. There are three flowers in two different sizes in pink and in white. With two pink and white bows in approximate 3 inches and 2 inches in size.  there are 2 crystal butterflies adorning the doiles on each size. And her name Gabriella is done in pink and shadowed in white and then dusted with glitter dust.

Christening Cards

Next week my grand niece will be baptized and I needed to make a card.  My first attempt at that type of card. So I ended up making two cards and have yet to decide which one to send. Guess I better make up my mind soon, lol
Again, I made them without taking notice to demensions for, or  even supplies that I used.  Of course everything in stock supplies that I have.  So anyway here they are:
Hope you like them both, please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks for looking!

Easter Egg Hunt

Hello All:
Well Easter is upon us.  And for the kids its time for egg hunts, sack races and the coloring of eggs. If your a reader of my blog you already know that my youngest grandson is now living far from us.  So for me doing his scrap pages brings me pleasure and a sharing in a part of what he does. My daughter-in-law sent me following pictures of the day that the complex they live in, in Chatanooga, TN, hosted a day for the children filled with activities for the young ones. Hence the name of this two page layout. Easter Egg Hunt, simple, but  it portrays his activities. Hope you like it.

New Cards

Hello All,
Been a busy doing this and that and going here and there.  But needed to make a birthday  card for my darling hubby and an anniversary card as well.
You cant tell very clearly on the anniversary card, but it has a green ribbon that divides the bottom and top of card and it says always and forever. Found it purely by accident but it went very well together. Well hope you liked them both. thanks for looking
